Festivals in America are celebrated more with the family and we can rarely see people outside on streets. On contrast Indian festivals are more with the community and we have festivals round the corner. I can hardly see people on roads for Christmas. It can be possibly because of cold also.
People
Greeting strangers with smile is a very common thing in America. It was hard for me coming from India to adjust this thing here but I got used to it because it made me friendlier.
Safety
A very contradicting point to be mentioned right after people but this holds a good position. As much as I say that people were friendly I have been warned that I have to be careful to go out in dark. If it is difficult in downtown I cannot possibly think of other places that can be safe. More number of guns than people in the USA.
Food
This is point that anyone who came from India would agree with me. Indian food or ingredients are very costly and everyone craves for this food. American food mostly contains cheese and more cheese. The cheese here also is a little different. It takes down a while not to notice the different cheese taste and to enjoy the food.
Packaging
If you spent time buying groceries in India you might notice the green dot and red dot over any food packaging, which is lost in America. It gets really difficult to distinguish between veg and non-veg.
Traffic
It is true that India is less planned for roads while America is more planned and have wider roads which makes them better roads.
