Description:
Okay, let me get straight to the point about how the event just went and what is the core feature of the hackathon conducted. Firstly this is a 36 hour event where everything is provided right at the office. Ascendant Tech has good space for this event within the office and we have been provided with all the amenities. I have a solid team on my side which is prepared for the battle when the event details are announced to us through HR team. The students who are selected to Ascendant have called to know their interest in participating. We all said yes and we had a couple of meeting about the kind of project that has to be selected and an abstract has to submitted so that a review will be done by the managers at Ascendant and a decision will be taken about selecting.

Being fresher’s team and still college students, we are partly unaware whether our project idea will be selected or not. We have an idea of controlling the desktop computer or any pc for that matters to be controlled by a mobile device using its sensors like accelerometer. This was a great idea according to us and we are all set when we heard that our project has been selected to be done at the hackathon event. We reached the office on time and Sharan, authority at Ascendant has finally marked the start of the event.
We have been desks and pcs for the event and we began to think about how to jump into things. While I said as I would take care of the mobile part in the project, Janani, Gopal and kannan decided to work for server side. Santosh was more interested to investigate the connection models and came with user datagram protocol. Thinking that this would make things simpler we started with coding things on both sides and by midnight we have a working model. We have a look around how people are doing and we stunned at the seniors who are working in a very different pattern. They are having class diagrams and models which we generally use only in answer sheets. They are professionally writing things and implementing. After all that is what they are doing 24*7.
Meanwhile the coding we are offered the dinner which is splendid. They offered a buffet system from a quality hotel for food and we delighted with it. The coffee machines running all the day served us to break down the drowsy nights. Initially we pulled our hairs to run the code and connect the mobile with pc and were in vain. We had good Wi-Fi and started to update things on Facebook about how the event is going. It is obviously a student’s surprise to see corporate culture and how good it is to performing people. We had snacks even at midnight. Finally at 4 in the morning we were tired and wanted to have a nap. We have asked the management who were looking about us during the event to arrange for a cab. We were arranged for it and were taken to the guest house where our accommodation was booked for 2 days.
We slept for some time and started back to office at 11 and found other teams who are very much indulged in carrying out their project. I have never seen such determined people. We went to our desks and started to think more about our modules. We did google search to all sites that provided information on how to resolve our issues. Thanks to the fast internet connection in the office, we were able to overcome so many issues. We offered breakfast in the office at our desks and we spend talking about project. We took around the office and got to talk with our future mates. People in Ascendant are very cool with others. They were very friendly and helpful. They are resourceful also to that matter when you ask them. I had some close seniors with whom I asked for windows phone device. Even that it is his own personal phone he didn’t mind to lend me.
At two in the noon we had our lunch in the office premises and there it was when Sharan interacts with us asking about it was going. I thought the attention will be around the big gags that would do tremendous things. It was fair and square. He was talking with the fresher teams and making us interacting with him. He was jovial and expressive. He makes us feel good in the environment. After the lunch we sat again indulged in the process of finishing the project with several coffees and snacks. We had discussions and several tests for the project. We had vision for future improvements and constantly thinking about feasibility. The aim of this hackathon is “Completeness of project”.
It’s the time for dinner and we are again ready for another one where we would with several seniors around us where we have no idea about what they talk. Again another meal from another branded restaurant and it is as usual splendid. Of course being in Chennai, we are offered only the vegetarian throughout. After dinner and final night for the hackathon we decided to complete quickly and move to guest house. We have to make a short video about how the project and we came out with an act for the video. We took a big nap and returned to the office for the final submission.
The suggestions that pour upon us would never stop and we came with an additional feature for the project. A keyboard from the device and that was at the last moment. We did it finally and we showed it up for the review, Sharan and other judges who came praised us for our work. Mentioning us as fresher team they applauded us and we are made for the final meeting. The mission is accomplished with the great support from the team and the company. They made us realise our potential and hackathon like this made us cheer up with the work we done. It was a splendid experience for us to be a part of such hackathon.

Trip to narsipura Sri Vaidya Narayana murthy - Shimago for cancer treatment

Hi friends. I would like to share my experience about my trip to Shimago and meet Guru Narayana murthy who would treat for cancer, diabetics, kidney diseases. My brother was diagnosed with rectal cancer on October 2014. The news of cancer to a young boy of 26 years shook our whole family. But we are strong as he was getting treatment from world class care clinic in Cleveland - Cleveland clinic, Ohio, USA. As fate had other plans, his cancer came in January, 2017 back after an extensive surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The doctors made a decision to keep him in hospice care: support for advanced illness. They said that there is no more treatment and only to keep him comfortable as long as he lives, we lost our hopes and that is when we thought of giving a try to Ayurvedic medicine. We found Guruji narasipura narayana murthy. His medicine gave us hopes and I recently went to narsipura to get the medicine. I thought it would be best to give my share of experience in reaching the

Solution to "child margin affects parent" in CSS

The browser implementation is that when the parent has no content and the child requests for margin, the parent is brought down instead of child going down. The solution for these are listed below with their side effects. floats , You  have  to float elements border-top , This pushes the parent at least 1px downwards which should then be adjusted with introducing  -1px  margin to the parent element itself. This can create problems when parent already has  margin-top  in relative units. padding-top , same effect as using  border-top overflow: hidden , Can't be used when parent should display overflowing content, like a drop down menu overflow: auto , Introduces scrollbars for parent element that has (intentionally) overflowing content (like shadows or tool tip's triangle) See the Pen Relative with Margin by Manikanta ( @immnk ) on CodePen .

Redirection in javascript

How Page Re-direction works ? Example 1: This is very simple to do a page redirect using JavaScript at client side. To redirect your site visitors to a new page, you just need to add a line in your head section as follows: <head> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- window.location="http://www.newlocation.com"; --> </script> </head> To understand it in better way you can  Try it yourself . Example 2: You can show an appropriate message to your site visitors before redirecting them to a new page. This would need a bit time delay to load a new page. Following is the simple example to implement the same: <head> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function Redirect() { window.location="http://www.newlocation.com"; } document.write("You will be redirected to main page in 10 sec."); setTimeout('Redirect()', 10000); //--> </script> </head> Here
